Our Story

Quill Energy group is a pioneer energy company that operates and develops projects in petroleum, utilities, mining, mineral and metering with international partners in addition to investing in projects, concessions, PPA and BOO agreements.

Quill's smart metering solutions for energy, water, gas and BTU (district cooling) are cutting edge with intensive R&D based on decades of experience of operation within the utility sector. We tailor fit to our market unique metering products and state of the art Integrated Management Platforms for all utilities, enabling data analysis and professional interface for users.

Our utilities arm at Quill Utilities operates and maintains electrical, water, district cooling and firefighting networks, focused on residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Dr. Tamer Abubakr maintained a high post at the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum & Mining in the field of Petroleum in both up-stream and down-stream activities, as well as the field of maritime transport industry for a period of forty five years.

He is the main founder of:

Master Gas (CNG stations)

Dr. Abubakr was also member on the Board of Directors of several companies of the Ministry of Petroleum & Mining including:

Chairman of Board of the Cooperative Association for Petroleum
Member of Board of Directors of Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation
EGPC (Egyptian General Petroleum Corp.) Vice-Chairman for Home & Foreign Trade and Control of Foreign & Joint-venture companies

Currently he is also acting as:

Chairman of the Nile Valley Gas Co. and REBCO Damietta gas Co.
Chairman of Petroleum & Mining chamber by the Federation of Egyptian industries.
President of the Energy Council NPC Egyptian Competitiveness.
Chairman of the Committee of Energy & Mining by (Federation of Egyptian industries).
